Prints on Linen and vintage fabrics

My 'Domestic Textiles' work references the utility era, the obviousness of a useful household item. It plays with the convention by which we identify an image with the thing it represents and encourages practical use but with enjoyment.

Functional domestic pieces such as tea cosies, peg bags, and table cloths have prints that are simple graphic representations of objects that relate to the function of each piece of work ie, tea cups, teapots, and kitchen utensils.

l am interested in the history, and respond to the ‘story’ of textiles used around domestic rituals such as ‘wash day’ and ‘taking tea’.
